Education Requirements/Licensing Renewals
TREC requires REALTORS®/Affiliate Brokers to complete 16 hours of state-approved continuing education (6 of which must be the mandatory “TREC Core Course”) every two-year licensing period, prior to the expiration date of your license. The remaining 10 hours must be state-approved elective courses, which may be taken in class or online. In addition, REALTORS®/Affiliate Brokers must complete NAR’s quadrennial ethics course, which is required by KAAR.
TREC requires Brokers to complete 120 post-broker hours by the third-year anniversary of receiving their broker license, including the state-required TREC Core course and 16 hours of continuing education every two years thereafter. (Brokers licensed prior to January 1, 2005 are exempt from continuing education requirements, but must complete NAR’s quadrennial Code of Ethics class, required by KAAR.)
Please contact TREC at 800.342.4031 with specific questions.
KAAR is committed to offering classes that are uniquely designed for and exclusive to our commercial members.
