June - August 2008 Used Cell Phone Drive for Safe Haven
Drop off boxes will be in the KAAR Office, the Farragut, Bearden, Oak Ridge and West Offices of Coldwell Banker Wallace & Wallace, Realty Center office in Oak Ridge, Realty III in Blount County, all of the Hammontree Offices, and Realty 1 Group and Crye-Leike Brown Realty in Crossville.
Bring in your used cell phones and/or charging units. The phones are reprogrammed for use by battered women to call 911. Last year we really were able to help this agency out.
Those phones that are no longer working can be salvaged for parts to build other phones turned in. The odd charging units can be matched up with other phones. Not only are we helping out the individuals and families, but we are also helping our environment by not throwing these into the land fills.
The purpose of the Knoxville Area Association of REALTORS® is to unite and serve its members and to enhance the ability and opportunity of its members to conduct their business ethically, professionally, and successfully and to promote the preservation of the right to own, transfer and use real property.
