The Minutes of the January Meeting were approved as presented.

 

The Financial Report for January was approved as presented.

 

 

THE DIRECTORATE

 

·         Approved President Ford’s recommendation to change the Presidential Advisory Group on Technology to a standing committee of the Association.

 

·         Approved President Ford’s recommendation to send the President-Elect to the Annual Leadership Summit of the National Association.

 

·         Approved the nomination of Sandy Beeler to the Tennessee Association’s REALTOR® of the Year Committee.

 

·         Approved the continuance of the RAPC matching funds program while the funds last.

 

·         Approved the request of the Governmental Affairs Committee to contribute $1000 of the Association’s RPAC Allocations to the County Candidates selected by the Committee.

 

·         After a much discussion of the MLS System, Barney was authorized to sign a contract with APEC Solutions for the construction and maintenance of the MLS IDX Program which would include providing every member with their own individual Web Site and to encourage APEC Solutions to pursue their interest in developing a MLS System.

 

·         Barney was authorized to purchase a new Firewall to be installed and managed by APEC Solutions.

 

·         Instructed Barney to arrange a meeting with Tim Smith a consultant, the Directors, the MLS Committees and Marketlinx an MLS System Vendor for February 22.

 

·         Was reminded of the Board Planning Retreat on February 20 and 21.

 

·         Received and filed the action of the Multiple Listing Service Committee to discontinue the MLS System dial-up lines by the end of December 2002.

 

·         Confirmed the decision of the Professional Standards Hearing Panel in Ethics Case 102.

 

·         Was informed of the current election procedures of the Anderson County Chapter.

 

·         Received a excellent report from Communication Committee Chairman Randy Susong on the Committee’s progress with the Knoxville News Sentinel.

 

·         Received the Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment on the adjacent property from Building Committee Chairman John Trotter.

 

·         Authorized a soil sampling test on the adjacent property as proposed by Environmental Consulting and Testing, Inc.

 

·         Adopted and approved the changes to the Association’s By-Laws as mandated by the National Association for 2002.

 

·         Adopted and approved the changes to the Association’s Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual as mandated by the National Association for 2002.

 

·         Adopted and approved the changes to the Association’s Multiple Listing Rules and Regulations as mandated by the National Association for 2002.

 

·         Approved the following applications for membership as presented by the Membership and Election Committee:
